In the Residential College

        I spent the first night in the HKU residential colleges with my dad. My dad has a small room that looks to a little mountain over the window. There are many other students from different parts of the world living in the same college. I met a Chinese student probably studying in undergraduate in HKU while on the lift. He said 'hi' to me and I did the same. My dad introduced me to him and said that I would be a guest in the college for a week.

Get up early. And I mean, really early. You feel cold? Go and take a shower. Not hot, but cold shower. [You can't? Why can't you? A simple lad can get up early and attend his part-time job, so why can't you?] Stretch your body. And stretch like it's gonna tear up. 'Cause you've got a long day. No, don't make breakfast. Dress up. And change your hairstyle into more of an exotic. Carry a bag with all the supplies you need. Carry your camera. Put on an extra jacket if it gets a little too cold. Put on your boot and get out into the streets. Get yourself some milk and sandwich on the way.(Make that two sandwich and milk) Talk with the lad who sells you milk and sandwich early in the morning. “‘ We were once young and dumb.’ It has become such a cliché that people tend to visualize them synonymous to each other. Sure, back in the days, I was young and dumb, but, that trait led me to various adventures and experiences. I have travelled across the land, narrow and wide, climbed my way up to some ferocious mountains, sailed across the dark deep sea, even jumped into it. I have travelled to many foreign lands, witnessing first-hand their indigenous culture and tradition, and spoke many tongues. I watched their devotion and practices in the name of their God.
