Today, You Graduate.!

Graduation Ceremony. All the happy tears, all the hugs, all the congratulations, all the promises about keeping in touch, all the plans to meet once every year or two. All those dreams. All those pure feelings unscathed.

"For the past 10 years, a Nepalese organization has been conducting a week-long program at the end of each year which includes a graduation ceremony for the Nepalese university graduates. The real objective of such program is to conserve and promote the Nepalese culture, music, tradition, art, et cetera. And as mentioned by the host of the program, "नेपालीहरु गाजा, भाङ, ढुतौरो खाएर सडकमा पल्तेका मात्र छैनन्, University का ढोका हरु नि ढकढकाई रहेका छन्।

And today, on 31st of December, the graduation ceremony was held at The Polytechnic University in Hong Kong. Many graduates along with teachers from various universities and schools filled the program hall. Like many other programs, speech was given by the Guest of Honor and other guests and also by the graduates themselves stating various problems faced by the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong and giving an inspirational message to the juniors, and last but not the least, sharing their stories of struggle and hardships as being an ethnic minority in Hong Kong.

"Even though we graduate from the university, we never really graduate because education never graduates, meaning never ends. So, we must not lose our way. In lieu we must always keep on learning and improving ourselves, 'cause we are actors. We are, inside of us, each an actor; 'A=Aim, C=Calculate, T=Try, O=Observe, R=Revise'. " says The Guest of Honor. I really enjoyed this speech.

Overall, the program was deemed as a success. Every graduates were presented with a token of love and recognition by the Nepalese Association. The program ended in due time with the host and guests wishing all the graduates a better future ahead and reminding again and again that they should do something in return for the Nepalese community."

With the book coming to an end, my last page is already filled with resolution for the next year. Like the graduates above, I dream to struggle of becoming one myself.

To all the readers who take their precious time from their busy schedule to check out my post, I would like to wish you all a 'Happy New Year'.

Till next time. Ciao. Happy Holidays.!
