10th July, 2013 Pt-1
Hello folks!!! Today, I got something
interesting to share with you all. After my admission in the LIC, I was
relieved for some time because, you know, some stress free environment from
finding a good college. And I forgot to mention that the college pre-informed
all the students about the orientation programme about Liverpool Int’l College.
The orientation programme was held on 10th July, 2013 at Kamaladi
Hall, Kathmandu at sharp 1:00 pm. The college had distributed “gate-pass” to
all the students. I also went to the college to collect the gate-pass with my
friends. And, to let you know, you were not allowed to enter inside the hall
without the gate-pass. So, we collected the gate-pass and waited anxiously for
the orientation day.
As we waited anxiously,
the orientation day finally arrived. Some of our friends went to the programme
ahead of us, so two of my friends went there along with me. We three were
seated at the left-hand side upper corner of the low deck, whereas our other
friends were at the upper deck waiting for us. We went to the upper deck. The
programme had just started when we reached there. As we reached there, the host
of the programme was introducing all the teachers who were professors and
doctors in their own faculty. I got to know that many professors and doctors
were there in our college. Prof. Dr. P.P. Wagley, Prof. Dr. Badri Bishal
Bhattarai, Dr. Purusottam Bhandari, Dr. Rajiv Chhetri, etc. are some of the
names. We thought we were really late for the programme, but found ourselves
incorrect when the host asked everyone to stand up for National Song. We just
felt kind of relived when we found out that we were not late. After the
National Song, we were asked to make ourselves comfortable. Then something
really caught our attention. We found out that the SLC Board Topper, Ashim
Ghimire also was studying at the same college. With this, he was asked to speak
a few words. We got to know that he was from Jhapa and he had passed his SLC
from there. He shared some few words and he was kindly asked to make himself
comfortable. Our school friend, Oshin Raymajhi had taken part in the Miss SLC
Nepal contest and had won the contest and was studying at the same college. She
too was asked to speak some few words. And so she did, and she was also asked
to take her seat. Then, the principal of the college gave a short speech about
the code of conduct that should be followed by every student strictly. Then,
again, the different faculty members were introduced to the students and
parents present there. After that, there were some dances performed by our
seniors. It was really good. After watching some few dances me along with my
friends left the hall and headed home.
At first, we were feeling
kind of bore. But after there were the dances, we were pumped up for a bit. But
we left the hall after few dances. We went home and after a while all of our
school friends were gathered at a certain place for some event that was coming
up. We still had something interesting for the day. I mean, we weren’t just
gonna let the day end so easily, were we?? So, all of our school friends met
each other after a long time, we were all happy to each other. But what was the
event which was so important and special that made all of our school friends to
gather at once at a certain place??!! Stay tuned to find out the answer,
folks…!!!
